Aldex Fin 3 White S pendant light – 3 glass globes Ø 14 cm, E14, white 1120E_S

Name: Aldex Fin 3 White S pendant light – 3 glass globes Ø 14 cm, E14, white 1120E_S
Brand: Aldex

The Aldex Fin 3 White S is a pendant light with three spherical opal glass shades 14 cm in diameter, mounted on short arms at different heights along a slim vertical rod. The metal parts are powder-coated in matt white, and the manufacturer sources the glass from a Polish glassworks. S is the smaller of the two sizes in the FIN series — the M version has 20 cm shades.Size and suspensionThe light is 120 cm high overall and takes up a 34 × 34 cm footprint. The rigid section carrying the globes is 51 cm long; the rest of the height is the cable and the ceiling canopy. The cable can be shortened during installation to set the drop for the room height — the manufacturer's shop states that this adjustment is done by an electrician. The 34 × 34 cm footprint is less than half the width of a typical dining table (80–90 cm), so the light covers the centre of the table top without reaching past its edges. The canopy fixes to the ceiling with two screws and wall plugs, and the instructions assume connection by an electrician.Which bulbs fitEach of the three globes has an E14 lampholder rated by the manufacturer for an LED bulb of up to 10 W. More important than the wattage is that the bulb sits inside the globe: the manufacturer recommends a slim E14 bulb no taller than 10.2 cm. A longer candle bulb or a decorative bulb with a long glass envelope will screw in but will not fit inside the glass shade. The opal glass diffuses the light, so instead of bright points you get three evenly glowing spheres. The colour of the light depends on the bulb — for a dining room or bedroom, 2700–3000 K, a warm white, is the usual choice.Which interiors it suitsThe manufacturer calls this light minimalist: a plain vertical axis, three identical globes and a single colour with no ornament. It is intended for the living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom, above a table and to the office — anywhere a light hangs over a specific spot rather than lighting a whole large room. The FIN series also offers the same model in black and in brass.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
