Paris 5038BL outdoor wall light, black RAL 9005, LED 5.9W 3000K, TE dimmable - NORLYS

Name: Paris 5038BL outdoor wall light, black RAL 9005, LED 5.9W 3000K, TE dimmable - NORLYS
Brand: NORLYS

Paris 5038BL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a half-dome in hot-dip galvanised steel, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). It is 23 cm wide and 11.5 cm high and projects 14 cm from the wall. A satin diffuser of UV-stabilised polycarbonate closes the dome underneath, and all the light leaves through it.How much light, and what kindThe integrated Cree LED module draws 5.9 W and the fitting delivers 672 lm, a little less than an old 60 W bulb and enough to light an entrance, the steps by a door or part of a driveway below the light. The light is diffused and directed downwards in a half-sphere, and ULOR 0% means nothing shines upwards or into windows above the fitting. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 keeps colours natural. It can be dimmed with a trailing-edge (TE) phase dimmer; the maker does not list leading-edge dimmers. There is no bulb to buy. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys offers service kits for them. The maker gives an LED lifetime of L80 102,000 h and L90 52,600 h, and 50,000 h for the driver.Mounting and connectionThe fitting is fixed with two screws through oval 5 × 10 mm holes spaced 90 mm apart, so a slight misalignment of the holes in the wall can be taken up. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), with round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. Despite an 8 A inrush current, the maker states how many fit on one circuit breaker: 46 on B10, 75 on B16, 74 on C10 and 120 on C16. It is protection class I and must be connected to the earth conductor. It weighs 0.79 kg.Build and where it can goIP43 means protection against rain falling at up to 60° from vertical: enough on an outside wall by a door or under the eaves, but not where a water jet is used. The cable enters through an EPDM gland. The classic, plain half-dome without ornament suits a house facade as well as a hotel or restaurant.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
