Marvele chandelier - 8 light sources - Aged brass Elstead

Name: Marvele chandelier - 8 light sources - Aged brass Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Marvele is an eight-light chandelier from Elstead Lighting's own range, finished in aged brass. Four flat arms run out in a cross from a central hub, and each ends in a cluster of upright bars of staggered length wrapped around a cylinder of cased opal glass. Each cylinder holds two bulbs: one shines up, the other down. Dimensions and installation The chandelier spans 83.8 cm and the fitting itself is 40 cm high — a width to compare with the length of your table or the size of the room it will hang in. Overall height runs from 65.2 to 141.4 cm and is set at installation by assembling the suspension from the supplied rods: two of 15.2 cm and two of 30.5 cm. Over a dining table it is usually set so that the bottom edge of the glass sits 70–80 cm above the tabletop. The fitting weighs 9.3 kg, so it needs a secure fixing in the ceiling; a plasterboard ceiling needs a fixing into the supporting structure. Bulbs and light There are eight E14 lampholders, each for a bulb of up to 40 W. No bulbs are supplied, so you need to buy eight, and they decide the colour and brightness — for dining and living rooms a warm white of 2700–3000 K is the usual choice. The opal glass hides the bulbs and diffuses the light, and the up-and-down layout lights the ceiling and the space beneath the chandelier at the same time. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs: dimming needs such bulbs and a dimmer switch. It is a Class I fitting, which must be connected to earth, and it is for indoor use. Where it fits The manufacturer intends Marvele for living rooms, dining rooms, studies and corridors; in a dining room it hangs over the table, and in a hallway it works where the ceiling is high enough. The upright, stepped bars are an Art Deco motif, while the straight arms and cylindrical glass give the whole a modern character.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
