Marvele chandelier - 6 light sources - Aged brass Elstead

Name: Marvele chandelier - 6 light sources - Aged brass Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Marvele is a chandelier from Elstead Lighting's own range: three arms in an aged brass finish spread out from a central stem, and each ends in a pair of cylindrical opal glass shades — one pointing up, the other down. The lower part of each pair is wrapped in vertical brass slats of varying length.Dimensions and hanging heightThe chandelier is 66 cm in diameter and the fitting itself is 40 cm tall. Compare that span with the width of the table or room it will hang over — it should stay clearly smaller than the tabletop so the fitting does not overwhelm it.The overall height from the ceiling ranges from 65.2 to 141.4 cm. It is set with rigid rods: two 15.2 cm rods and two 30.5 cm rods are supplied and are combined as needed. Over a dining table the lower edge of the shades is usually set 70–80 cm above the top. The fitting weighs 7.5 kg, so it needs a secure fixing to the ceiling.Bulbs and lightThe chandelier has six E14 lampholders, each taking a bulb of up to 40 W. Bulbs are not included, so you need to buy six. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs — dimming requires dimmable bulbs and a dimmer. The shades are made of cased opal glass, which diffuses the light and hides the bulb itself. Because half of the shades face upwards, part of the light reaches the ceiling and part goes down, so the room is lit more evenly than by a fitting that shines only downwards. The chandelier is Class I, so it must be connected with an earth conductor.Where it fitsIt is intended for over the dining table, the living room and the hallway. The combination of ribbed brass slats and milky glass, together with the geometric arrangement of the arms, draws on Art Deco, while the plain structure without ornament fits the modernist line. The fitting is for indoor use only.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
