Jules Pendant / Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - 3 Lights - Brushed Nickel Elstead

Name: Jules Pendant / Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - 3 Lights - Brushed Nickel Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Jules is a round light by Hinkley, distributed by Elstead Lighting, that can be hung as a pendant or fitted closer to the ceiling as a semi-flush light. The outer steel drum in brushed nickel carries a stamped, repeating oval pattern, and a white linen inner shade shows through the openwork. An opal glass diffuser closes the drum from below.Dimensions and hanging heightThe drum is 53.4 cm in diameter and the fitting itself is 47.1 cm high. Three rigid rods are supplied, 45.7 cm, 30.5 cm and 15.2 cm long; combining them sets the overall height anywhere from 55.3 to 143.6 cm. Over a dining table the drop is usually chosen so that the bottom edge sits 70–80 cm above the tabletop, and under a low ceiling the light can be fitted in its semi-flush form. The fitting weighs 5.99 kg, so it needs a secure fixing point in the ceiling. It is protection class I, which means the installation must include an earth conductor.Light sources and dimmingThe light has three E27 lampholders for bulbs of up to 60 W each. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the brightness and colour of the light yourself. Light passes through the linen shade and the opal glass, so it is diffused, while the openings in the pattern also throw some of it sideways. The light can be dimmed with a dimmer switch and bulbs labelled as dimmable.Which interiors it suitsA plain drum combined with a decorative stamped pattern places Jules between traditional and contemporary design, which is why it is classed as modern classic. It is suited to hanging over a dining table; at over 50 cm across it sits in proportion above a larger table. The fitting is for indoor use.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
