Halmstad 1400GA is a 49 cm bollard light with a square 12 × 12 cm cross-section. The middle of the body is clad in painted Scandinavian pine in a dark brown shade, while the head and base are hot-dip galvanised steel left in the natural matt silver of the zinc. Horizontal steel bars guard the opal diffuser at the top.How big it is and where it fitsThe 49 cm height and 12 × 12 cm footprint are the figures to compare with the spot by the path, the edge of the terrace or the driveway where the bollard is going to stand. The manufacturer designed it for private grounds and public areas, and the catalogue lists it for gardens, terraces, driveways and streets as well as hotel and restaurant surroundings.The bollard is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes spaced at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. No anchoring hardware is included: the concrete anchor 205, ground anchor 206, concrete foundation adapter 206S and mounting adapters 3080GA and 3086GA are sold separately. The terminals take cable up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so a row of bollards along a path runs from a single supply line.What light it givesThe fitting has an E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 shaped bulb, with a stated LED limit of 9 W. No bulb is included, so you choose brightness and colour temperature yourself and replace the bulb yourself too.The diffuser is open and only partly shaded from above. The ULOR is 48% and the BUG rating B0-U3-G1, meaning almost half of the light leaves above the fitting, so the bollard also lights shrubs, walls and the space above it. Where light should not reach windows or the night sky, a fully top-shielded fitting is the better choice.Build and serviceIP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it can stand in the open without any cover. IK10 is the highest impact resistance class. Protection class II means double insulation with no earth conductor. The diffuser and the silicone gasket are available from the manufacturer as spare parts.
