Freeport Large Wall Lantern - 1 Light - Textured White Elstead

Name: Freeport Large Wall Lantern - 1 Light - Textured White Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The large Freeport is a wall lantern by Hinkley, distributed by Elstead Lighting. A cylinder of clear seeded glass is held in a grid frame under a flared hood, and the whole lantern hangs from an arm fixed to a rectangular wall plate. The Textured White finish is a matt white with a slightly rough surface. Size and where it fits The lantern is 38.9 cm high and 25.7 cm in diameter, and it projects 28.8 cm from the wall. Compare that projection with the width of the path by the door and with how far the door leaf swings open. It weighs 1.96 kg, or 2.81 kg boxed. The family also has medium and small versions — under a low porch roof it is worth comparing their heights. Where there is no flat wall beside the door, the manufacturer offers an optional corner bracket: C-BKT2-BROWN or C-BKT2-BLACK. Weather resistance Hinkley designs the lantern for outdoor use and rates it IP44, which means protection against splashing water from any direction — suitable for a facade by the entrance, including an uncovered spot. The body is made of a weather-resistant composite. The fitting is Class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor. Light source Inside is one E27 socket for a bulb of up to 60 W; no bulb is supplied. The glass is clear, so the bulb stays visible and its shape affects how the lantern looks in the evening. You choose the colour and brightness yourself — for an entrance, warm 2700–3000 K is the usual choice. The manufacturer rates the fitting as compatible with dimmable lamps: dimming needs a dimmable bulb and a dimmer switch in the circuit. Style and versions Hinkley describes Freeport as a classic New England design: a traditional lantern with a grid frame and hood, without modern additions. The large version also comes in a Textured Black finish.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
