Casa Outdoor Wall Lantern - 1 Light Source - Olde Black by Elstead

Name: Casa Outdoor Wall Lantern - 1 Light Source - Olde Black by Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Casa is an outdoor wall lantern from Hinkley, distributed in Europe by Elstead Lighting. Its cylindrical shade of clear seeded glass, full of small air bubbles, hangs beneath a scrolled arm that rises from a rectangular backplate. The aluminium body carries the Olde Black finish — black with dark brown showing through along the edges.Size and wall mountingThe lantern stands 33 cm tall and 17.6 cm wide and projects 20.1 cm from the wall. These three figures are worth checking against the space by your door: the width decides whether it fits between the door frame and a window or downpipe, and the projection how far it reaches over the path. It weighs 1.8 kg.The backplate is flat and screws to a flat wall. For mounting on the corner of a building the manufacturer offers a separately sold corner bracket, C-BKT2-BLACK or C-BKT2-BROWN. The fitting is Class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor.Bulb and lightInside is a single E27 lampholder for a bulb of up to 60 W; the bulb is not included. Because the glass is clear, the bulb stays visible and becomes part of the lantern's look: a clear filament bulb shows the filament itself through the glass, while a frosted one gives a more even glow. The lantern works with dimmable bulbs — dimming needs such a bulb and a dimmer switch.Where to fit itAn IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, which is why the manufacturer rates the lantern for outdoor use: on a house facade, beside an entrance, and equally at the entrance to a hotel or restaurant. The scrolled arm, the twisted rod running down the shade and the seeded glass give it a rustic character with a Spanish touch. The Casa family also includes a two-light wall lantern, a chain lantern and chandeliers in the same finish.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
