End cap for the LUMINES Design+ aria profile, in the no-hole version, in Light Ivory (RAL 1015). Made of ABS, manufacturer's reference 12-1528-01. What an end cap is for An aluminium profile is sold as a length with raw cut ends – you can see the channel for the LED strip, the edge of the diffuser and the wiring. The end cap closes that section and does three things at once: it hides the inside of the profile, keeps dust off the strip and its connections, and mechanically stiffens the end of the diffuser, which without support tends to lift away from the profile over time. It is a small consumable part, easily lost during installation – which is why it is also bought on its own as a spare, not only with a first fit. No hole – which end that is A typical run needs two caps per length: one with a hole for the supply cable to pass through, and one solid cap closing the opposite end. This is the solid one, without a hole. When ordering a set, count how many profile ends finish against a wall or in a corner (that is usually where the solid cap goes) and how many need a cable exit. Light Ivory RAL 1015 The Light Ivory finish corresponds to RAL 1015 – light ivory, warmer and distinctly creamier than RAL 9003 white. The cap is matched to a profile in the same finish, so when ordering, check the colour name rather than trusting an impression – the difference between Light Ivory and painted white shows immediately where the two parts meet. The manufacturer offers the same shape in ABS in painted silver, grey, black, white, Rock Anthracite (RAL 7016), Reed Green (RAL 6013) and Sky Blue, plus an aluminium version if the end should be metal. ABS as the material ABS is the practical choice here: springy enough for the cap to hold by push fit without adhesive and to come off again when the strip needs servicing, and stiff enough not to distort under the heat the profile carries away. The aluminium version reads as one piece with the profile but is less forgiving to fit.
