Brake booster for PORSCHE 911 G '78- 93035502700 Original Porsche Description: If this universal brake booster (OE Ref: 93035502700) is to be installed in an early 1977 model year vehicle, the following components must be adapted or replaced, depending on the exact chassis number:The aluminum mounting bracket (carrier housing): Some early 1977 models still have the old mounting housing in the trunk. For the new, slightly modified bolt pattern of the booster, either the more modern aluminum mounting bracket from later models (from model year 1978 onwards) must be installed or the mounting must be modified. Clevis and pushrod: The length and thread of the connecting rod to the brake pedal were modified during the 1977 model year. Here, the clevis from the old component must be transferred, or the pushrod must be precisely adjusted to the correct dimension (brake pedal free play) to prevent brake drag. Vacuum connections: The design of the vacuum check valve and the routing of the vacuum hoses differ on early models. The hoses often need to be rerouted flexibly in the engine compartment/trunk or their diameter adjusted using adapters. Brake lines at the master cylinder: Because the newer brake booster shifts the position of the master cylinder slightly, the rigid brake lines must be carefully bent or replaced with the newer, slightly offset lines.
