Arild floor lamp black Nordlux

Name: Arild floor lamp black Nordlux
Brand: Nordlux

Arild is a 140 cm floor lamp with a slim black frame made from 1.56 cm tube and two shades of white, matt opal glass 9.3 cm across. The shades sit in holders with details in a brownish brass tone, and the whole lamp stands on a round black base (RAL 9017). The glass is mouth-blown and shaped by hand, so small air bubbles may appear and the wall thickness can vary — no two shades look quite the same. Bulbs and the direction of light Each of the two shades has an E14 lampholder for a bulb of up to 40 W. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the brightness and colour of the light yourself. The lamp cannot be dimmed, so brightness depends only on the bulb you fit. Both shades turn through 355°, so the light can be aimed at an armchair, a sofa or the wall rather than spreading evenly across the whole room. Dimensions, cable and switch In plan the lamp fits within a 31 × 31 cm square, so it slips into a narrow gap beside a sofa or armchair, and it weighs 3.1 kg. The black textile-covered cable is 180 cm long — compare that with the distance from where the lamp will stand to the nearest socket. The switch is on the cable. The cable itself cannot be replaced. The lamp is Class II, meaning double insulated, so it does not need an earthed socket. It is intended for indoor use. Where it works With turning shades that put the light where it is needed, Arild works well as a reading lamp beside an armchair in a living room, bedroom or study, and also in a dining room or a hotel room. The maker describes it as contemporary with an industrial touch: matt black metal, brass details and milky glass.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
