The proximity key is an optional accessory for contact-free arming and disarming of alarm panels, replacing code entry. It allows unique authentication of the user in the alarm system. The user no longer needs to remember a PIN code, and this makes authorization (authentication) on the system much easier. Installation and programming: The chip key is trained into the alarm panel; the authorization is then programmed directly at the alarm panel. The radio field of the receiver provides the voltage to the proximity key for the code transmission; the key does not need its own battery.
