2x Tie Rod End Joints for PORSCHE 964 turbo PREKOM Upgrade to Ball Joint for Higher Steering Precision Description: The joints on tie rods are subject to wear, which usually starts with a torn boot. Once the grease has been washed out of the tie rod end or axial joint, the ball joint will fail within a few thousand kilometers. At the latest, the defective rubber boots or ball joints will be flagged during the vehicle inspection (TÜV). Because replacing the tie rod always requires a new wheel alignment with toe adjustment, it is recommended to replace the entire tie rod depending on its condition. We offer a wide variety of tie rod ends, axial joints, and complete tie rods, also with the correct steering boots.These axial joints feature an optimized "Turbo design." This is characterized by the play-free ball joint. True to the original design, the Carrera models on the 911 G-model and 964 featured a ball joint with a rubber bushing. While this provided greater comfort, it resulted in less direct steering response. The 930 Turbo and the later 993 Carrera/Turbo models came standard with a zero-play axial joint.
