24x Dilavar Studs for PORSCHE 911 G SC 930 964 993 OE Quality Description: This set of 24 studs is for the proper fastening of the cylinder head to the cylinders. These studs are the reinforced "DILAVAR" version. From 1974 onwards, Porsche only used aluminum cylinders. Since aluminum has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion, the studs were constantly subjected to high stress. This high stress often led to the threads of the studs stripping or complete failure and breakage. From the Carrera 3.2 onwards, reinforced Dilavar studs were installed in the engines, thus solving this problem. We recommend replacing the studs with Dilavar studs during an engine overhaul to increase the longevity of your engine.
