A folding tripod base with metal legs packs down small for transport, and the two-piece column adjusts from 900mm to 1600mm. The 800mm one-piece boom arm locks with a wing nut, so you can angle the mic over a guitar amp, a drum kit or a lectern without the stand tipping. It ends in a standard 3/8" thread, so it takes any mic clip directly, or 5/8" clips with an adaptor.
