Egersund Mini 2302GR is a garden bollard from the Norwegian brand NORLYS — a cylindrical body of powder-coated cast aluminium, 12 cm across and 85 cm tall, capped with a clear PMMA lens housing a metallised cone-shaped reflector. That cone throws the light sideways, all around the fitting, instead of letting it escape straight up. The graphite finish corresponds to RAL 7016. How much light actually leaves the fitting NORLYS publishes two flux figures and the gap between them matters here: the LED module itself emits 1370 lm, while 911 lm leaves the luminaire — the rest is spent on the reflector cone that shapes the distribution. The manufacturer declares 7.4 W for the source and 9.6 W for the complete fitting, giving a luminaire efficacy of 94.9 lm/W. That is the right order of magnitude for lighting paths, entrances and driveways: the bollard marks the route and lights the surface around itself; it is not a substitute for a floodlight. The 3000 K colour is warm, colour rendering is CRI 80, and colour consistency is SDCM3 — several bollards set in a row will show the same shade of white, with no visible mismatch. Upward light output ratio is 10 % and the BUG rating is B1-U3-G1, so only a small share of the flux goes up. DALI2 control — and what that means in practice This is the DALI2 version: dimming runs over a digital bus, not over an ordinary phase-cut wall dimmer. Alongside the mains supply the bollard therefore needs a control pair and a DALI controller. NORLYS offers variants in the same family described simply as "Dimmable" (1290GR, 5117GR and others); if the installation has no DALI bus, those are the right choice. The control type cannot be changed after purchase — it is fixed to the catalogue number. Installation: what to buy alongside, and how many per circuit The fitting is fixed through three ø9 mm holes on a ø65 mm circle at 120° intervals. Anchors and adapters are not included — NORLYS sells them separately: concreting anchor (index 205), ground anchor (206), adapter for a concrete foundation (206S), mounting adapter (3086) and junction box (6138). It is worth ordering them with the bollard, because without one there is nothing to stand it on. The terminal block takes conductors up to 4 × 4 mm², with loop-in to the next fitting up to 4 × 2.5 mm²; maximum round-cable diameter is ø14 mm. Inrush current is 20 A / 200 μs, which caps how many fittings share one MCB: B 10 A — 10 units, B 16 A — 30, C 10 A — 31, C 16 A — 51. On a longer run of bollards, that number is what decides how the circuits are split. Durability and protection IP65 means complete dust protection and protection against water jets from any direction, while IK08 impact resistance corresponds to 5 J — a sensible level for a fitting standing beside a path or driveway. Sealing is by a silicone gasket. The luminaire is Class II (double insulated), so it needs no protective earth conductor — a genuine convenience in garden wiring, where an earth is not always run. Operating temperature range is −20 °C to +45 °C at a rated +25 °C. Driver durability is quoted at 100 000 h, and the LED module keeps 90 % of its initial flux for over 52 330 h (L90 per TM-21/LM-80), 80 % for over 107 920 h and 70 % for over 171 460 h. Flicker and stroboscopic effect are held to Pst LM ≤ 1 and SVM ≤ 0.4. One servicing detail worth knowing: both the LED module and the control gear are replaceable by a professional, and NORLYS lists the electric set as a catalogue spare part. The bollard itself includes nothing for setting it into ground or concrete. The DALI2 version needs a control bus. Without one the fitting will light at full output but cannot be dimmed.
