A prepleated filter widely used for general purposes. Has excellent particle retention and good filtration speed and loading capacity. The time required for quadrant pleated circles to match conical filter funnels in repeated or multiple analyses. Reduced total filtration time because of the additional surface area exposed; the normal slowing of filtration speed due to particle loading is postponed. Increased total loading capacity because more filter area is available. Maintained flow rate due to the reduction in contact of the filter paper with the funnel side and the self-supporting shape of the filter itself. Pre-closing does not significantly affect the specifications and the same figures can be used for the flat circles. Also available in the flat form as Grade 2.
