GE’s ready-to-use Whatman filter paper Grade GF/C glass filters offer a good flow rate and loading capacity that support total suspended solids analysis with a fine nominal particle retention of 1.2 µm. Filter Paper for Total Suspended Solids: Whatman binder free glass microfiber filter GF/C from GE is widely used as a total suspended solids filter for applications testing both potable water and waste water. The GF/C RTU line pre-treats our traditional GF/C filter with washing, drying, cooling (in a desiccator), and weighing steps aligned to the requirements of EN 872 – the European norm for suspended solids in water testing. The GE quality organization certifies that these filters have weight loss of less than 0.017 mg/cm2 after preparation, which is required by the standard. Each ready-to-use filter is placed in an individually barcoded aluminum pan that notes the filter weight. The barcode can be used to access a GE certification of the filter weight from our website.
