VARELA LE73676 is an outdoor wall light in a rectangular 50 x 23 cm block that projects only 8.6 cm from the wall. The black aluminium body forms a deep frame with a narrow vertical light slot recessed inside it. The built-in LED module delivers 255 lm from 9 W in a warm 3000 K, and the IP65 rating puts it outdoors. Light hidden inside the frame The construction here is function, not ornament. The diode sits deep within the black frame, so looking at the fitting head-on you see no source, only a glowing vertical line. On a light mounted beside a door or on a terrace wall — that is, at eye level — that is the difference between something pleasant to look at and something that dazzles. 255 lm — an accent, not entrance lighting Nine watts give 255 lumens, roughly 28 lm/W. That figure states plainly what this fitting is: the slot itself is narrow and the black interior of the frame absorbs part of the light, so what leaves is about what an old 25 W incandescent gave. Enough to mark a wall, outline an entrance or set up a rhythm of several units along a facade — but it will not light a driveway or a flight of steps. Where usable light is needed, VARELA should supplement rather than be the only source. 3000 K is warm white, close to a classic incandescent — friendlier on a facade than neutral 4000 K, and less attractive to insects than cold light. IP65 and installation The IP65 rating means a dust-tight enclosure that also withstands water jets, so the fitting copes with heavy rain and facade washing. Supply is 230 V. The flat form — 8.6 cm deep — keeps it out of the way in a passage, which matters on a narrow terrace or in a porch. The source is permanently built in This is an integrated-LED luminaire: no socket, no bulb to change, and it lights from the first switch-on. The manufacturer specifies no brightness control, so wiring it to a dimmer will not work. When the module reaches the end of its life, the whole fitting is replaced.
