The V-TAC 50 W LED floodlight has a flat white-painted aluminium housing and a glass front bedded in a silicone seal. The SMD diodes spread across the entire face, and the body is just 2.7 cm deep. An adjustable U-bracket comes with it: screw it to a wall or post, then set the tilt. How much light it gives and how much ground it covers The floodlight puts out 4300 lm for 50 W of consumption. At 6500 K the light is cold white with a bluish cast, the kind used where visibility matters rather than atmosphere. Colour rendering is above Ra 70. A 110° beam spreads the light wide instead of concentrating it. V-TAC states that from 3 m the floodlight covers up to 74.8 m², and from 5 m up to 206 m²; the recommended mounting height falls in exactly that range. One fitting therefore covers a driveway or a section of garden. Outdoor use and installation IP65 means a dust-tight housing that resists water jets from every direction, so the fitting can hang on an open facade with no shelter above it. Working temperatures run from −20 °C to +40 °C. The face measures 18 × 15 cm and the fitting weighs about 0.5 kg. The lead brought out of the body is 150 mm long, so the connection belongs in a junction box rated IP65 or higher. V-TAC supplies neither a terminal block nor the bracket screws. The floodlight is protection class I and needs an earth conductor connected, with H05RN-F 3G1.0 mm² recommended as the supply cable. Keep at least 1 m between the fitting and the object it lights. Light source and power supply The SMD diodes are built in permanently — the light source is part of the fitting and cannot be replaced, so there is no bulb to buy. V-TAC declares 25 000 hours of service and over 15 000 switching cycles. The constant-current driver sits inside the housing, so no external gear is needed; the fitting runs on 220–240 V with a power factor above 0.9 and lights instantly. Dimming is not provided for. Where it works V-TAC intends this model for driveways, gardens, billboards, sports grounds and car parks.
