Sigma Artis 40534 – a white wall light with a focused downward glowThe Sigma Artis 40534 wall light is built around a concise arrangement of geometric forms. A round wall plate supports a slender horizontal arm, while a short vertical element meets the broad, curved shade. Its consistent white finish keeps the profile visually light and easy to coordinate, yet the sweeping asymmetrical shade gives the fitting a recognisable outline. Both the body and the shade are made from painted steel.The shade is open underneath and directs most of the light downwards. In the illuminated product view, it creates a clearly defined pool of light on the wall below the fitting. This makes Artis a practical source of supplementary light beside a bed, above a console, near a reading chair or along a hallway. The manufacturer’s diagram shows the bracket fixed to the substrate and the body secured over it with screws. Installation should therefore be carried out with the power isolated and with fixings suitable for the wall construction. The wall plate measures 12 cm in diameter. Choose an E14 bulb with a shape that fits comfortably beneath the shade; an opal lamp will produce a softer appearance, while a clear lamp will make the visible point of light more pronounced.
