VT-4444 is a set of three round recessed downlights from V-TAC in a satin finish, supplied together with three GU10 LED lamps. Each lamp is 5 W and delivers 400 lm of warm 3000 K light — so the whole set is 15 W and roughly 1200 lm, about what is needed to light a hallway, an entrance or one zone of a room. 110° beam — this is not a narrow accent spot The most important thing the word "downlight" does not tell you: the manufacturer's declaration in the EU EPREL registry (no. 1021257) states a beam angle of 110°. That is very wide for a GU10 — closer to a gentle wash than to accenting a picture on a wall. If you want a sharp circle of light on a particular object you need a 24–38° source, not this one. If you want even, shadow-free light from the ceiling, 110° is an advantage, because it lets you space the fittings further apart. The colour is fixed at 3000 K. The registry classifies this source as having a single colour temperature value and as not colour-tuneable — there is no switch and no range. The fittings are also not dimmable; connection to a dimmer is not envisaged by the manufacturer. Three numbers worth knowing before you buy This set is inexpensive, and the EPREL declaration shows where the savings were made. They are set out plainly here, because they decide whether the product suits a given job. Colour consistency SDCM 6. That is loose binning. With three fittings in one ceiling, a visible difference in the shade of white between neighbours is possible. Premium fittings sit at SDCM 2–3, where that difference does not occur. Power factor 0.49. The set draws roughly twice the apparent current its real power would suggest. In a flat that makes no difference to the bill, but in a larger installation — dozens of fittings on one circuit — it has to be allowed for when sizing the protection. Flicker Pst LM 1.0. That is at the permitted limit. For a corridor, a wardrobe or decorative lighting it is entirely adequate; over a desk where someone works for hours, a source with a lower figure is the better choice. For balance: lumen maintenance is 0.96 with a survival factor of 1.0, and the colour rendering index of Ra 80 is the standard for general lighting. The energy efficiency class is F at 5 kWh/1000 h — the energy label is among the product photographs. Installation The fittings are recessed, intended for suspended ceilings and plasterboard. The set includes three GU10 holders with quick connectors, which shortens the job — no terminal blocks to unscrew. Supply is 230 V straight from the mains, with no driver. The manufacturer gives the dimensions as Ø 99 mm with a depth of 120 mm. The cut-out quoted by distributors is 78 mm — offer the fitting up before cutting, because that figure does not appear in the official product declaration. The 120 mm depth means there must be enough room above the ceiling; in a shallow service void that can be a real constraint.
