Most often, one of the gears breaks, causing the drive to jam. We especially recommend that commercial customers replace these three gears immediately. Often, after replacing one damaged gear, the other gear fails shortly afterward. Replacing all three ensures long-term functionality of the drive. We use the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives as the material. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation. If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grasp the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull gently while doing so. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft.
