ALTEA is a wall light shaped as a white disc 40 cm across and 10 cm deep. The surface is raw and heavily textured — the maker gives the materials as plastic and paper. A small dark element sits at the centre, contrasting with the white of the disc. The light works on the texture The whole pale surface reflects the light, and its irregular structure means the reflection is uneven: ridges and hollows produce fine gradations of brightness, so the disc reads as relief rather than as a flat patch. That is the point of the shape — the fitting does not light the room, it becomes a lit object on the wall, with a pattern that shifts as you move past it. How much light it gives The built-in LED module draws 5 W and gives 310 lm at 3000 K, warm white. For lighting a room that is plainly too little — and lighting a room is not this fitting's role. ALTEA works as an accent: in a corridor, above a chest of drawers, beside stairs, wherever light is meant to mark a place rather than illuminate it. The source is permanently built in, supplied with the fitting, and cannot be replaced. Size and build 40 cm across is a large object for a wall light — ALTEA takes up as much wall as a small picture and should be planned for on those terms. The 10 cm depth makes the disc stand well clear of the plaster and cast a shadow of its own. It runs on 230 V, and an IP20 rating places it in dry interiors.
