Molde DC1905CB is a 50 cm garden bollard light made of powder-coated cast aluminium in RAL 8004, copper brown. Its angled head holds two LED modules, and the light leaves through a clear structured polycarbonate cover that is closed off at the top. How much room it needs and how it is fixed At 50 cm the bollard stands roughly knee-high for an adult, so it lights the surface around itself rather than the whole garden. The base covers 16.5 × 11 cm — that is the figure to compare with the spot beside the path or in the bed where it will stand. The base has four ø7 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm, and the maker provides for no other way of fixing it; the manual is included. Concreting anchors, ground anchors and mounting adapters are sold separately by Norlys. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² with a cable diameter of 5–12 mm, and the supply can be looped through to the next bollard. 24 V supply and what has to be bought with it This is a 24 V DC fitting in protection class III, not a mains luminaire. The maker requires an external voltage-stabilised power supply and includes none — without it the bollard will not light, and Norlys reserves both the choice of supply and the installation work for a qualified electrician. The LED module is designed for dimming, but control happens on the supply side, according to the design of the installation. The light source is not user-replaceable: the LED is changed by a professional, and the maker lists service kits for it. The light it gives The two LED modules draw 7.2 W together and produce 1024 lm, of which the luminaire sends 435 lm out — the rest stays in the top-shielded optic that directs the beam downwards. Upward output is 2.89% and the BUG rating is B0-U1-G0: the light lands on the surface, not in the sky. 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional incandescent bulb, and 435 lm is about half the output of an old 60 W bulb — one bollard lights the stretch of path beside it, and a longer walkway is planned with several units. Build and weather resistance The polycarbonate cover is UV-stabilised, so it yellows in sunlight more slowly than plastic without that treatment, and the powder coating protects the body. IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from every direction, so against rain with no extra shelter, and the stated −30 to +50 °C range lets the fitting stay in the garden over winter.Näytä lisää
