The profile end that closes the line of light The end cap closes off the LUMINES FALCO LED profile at its face. Without it, the end of the profile shows the inside of the channel, the LED tape and the cable — exactly what the profile exists to hide. This version is white ABS, matched to the white-lacquered FALCO profile, and presses into the profile end with no glue and no screws. "2-in-1": a hole you make only if you need it This is a cap with a scored knock-out — the place for the cable is cut at the factory but not punched through. Hence "2-in-1": the same part serves as a closed cap at one end of the profile and as a cable gland at the other. You simply push out the scored disc where the cable is to emerge. In practice that means buying two identical caps for a run of profile rather than two different ones, and deciding which one carries the cable only at installation. FALCO is a plaster-in profile — which is why the cap matters FALCO installs between two plasterboard sheets and is finished with filler, without reinforcing mesh. With that method the profile's face sits at the board joint and is the only place its cross-section shows — a badly closed end ruins the whole effect of a line of light sunk into the ceiling. Fit the cap before filling. What to know The cap is sold singly, and a run of profile needs two. The manufacturer offers it in four colours — white, black, silver and grey — chosen to match the profile. The FALCO profile itself is rated IP20 and cannot be sealed, so the assembly is for dry interiors only.
