The LUMINES COSMO 14-5042-02 is a black aluminium adjustment ring for the COSMO LED profile system. It is not the profile, a diffuser, an LED strip, or an end cap. On the current COSMO datasheet the manufacturer places this code in its own adjusting-ring column, next to the adjustment end caps, which carry different article numbers. What the render shows The official render of the black COSMO adjusting ring shows one part from two angles. The outer rim is knurled, the centre stays open, and a cylindrical hub with a notch sits on the axis. LED Labs states aluminium, black, and EAN 5902973369311 for 14-5042-02. The black COSMO profile is described as anodized; the ring card does not repeat that coating claim, so the ring is black aluminium, not a separately confirmed anodized finish. How it differs from an end cap In the COSMO accessory table the black adjustment end cap with a hole is ALU 12-0182-10, and the black adjustment end cap without a hole is ALU 12-0182-11. Code 14-5042-02 is the adjusting ring, not either of those caps. It does not close the profile end the way a cap does, and it does not provide the cable opening of the with-hole cap. The silver ring of the same type is 14-5042-04. Choose the black or silver column deliberately, and do not substitute an end-cap code for the ring. Which profile it belongs to The manufacturer assigns 14-5042-02 only to the COSMO system. The COSMO profile is round, 25 mm in diameter, and accepts an LED strip up to 12 mm wide. Those figures describe the profile, not the ring. The card does not publish an outside diameter, width, or weight for 14-5042-02, so the profile cross-section drawing cannot be reused as the ring size. With the COSMO M1 mounting profile, the beam direction of the COSMO profile can be changed without removing the end caps. Separately, the profile rotates in indexed steps in the mounting bracket. The assembly scheme lists the adjusting ring as its own part. The card does not state an angle range or a tightening torque for 14-5042-02 alone. Where the COSMO system is intended Lumines specifies COSMO for wardrobe interiors, including use as a closet rod, for shelves and cabinets, and for work areas such as desks and countertops. The ring does not emit light. It belongs where that profile is installed. The profile, cover, LED strip, end cap, and mounting parts are separate articles.
