VT-061 is a linear LED tube in the T8 format: 600 mm long, 28 mm across, with a two-pin G13 cap at each end. The cover is milky and matt over its whole length, in a material V-TAC calls nano plastic. The tube weighs 0.1 kg. Size, cap and the direction of the light 600 x 28 mm with a G13 cap is the standard T8 format — a dimension to compare with the holder spacing of the fitting the tube is going into. The end caps rotate: once in place the tube can be turned in its holders to choose which way the light falls. The beam angle is 160 degrees, so the light spreads wide rather than in a narrow cone. The rotating caps and the wide angle work together: the whole output can be aimed down or at an angle instead of losing part of it inside the housing. How much light it gives, and of what kind Drawing 9 W, the tube puts out 850 lm, which works out at 95 lm per watt. 3000 K is warm white — a distinctly yellow light, closer to the old incandescent bulb than to a typical office lamp. Colour rendering is Ra 80, and in the EPREL register the manufacturer declares an R9 of 10. R9 describes the rendering of red: at that figure reds and pinks come out muted, which matters where the light falls on food, flowers or fabric. Operation, life and limits The tube is not dimmable — the EPREL declaration and the distributor sheet agree on it, so a dimmer in the circuit will do nothing. It lights instantly, in 0.001 s, with no warm-up, and the manufacturer states over 15,000 switching cycles. Declared life is 25,000 hours at 96% of the original flux, and the operating range of -20 to +45 degrees Celsius covers unheated rooms as well. The energy efficiency class is F.
