Franca is a four-light pendant from Nordlux, with four glass domes spread across a round brass frame 46 cm in diameter. The Danish brand took the arrangement of a traditional chandelier and redrew it in quieter, more contemporary lines. Brass and hand-formed glass The frame is metal in a brass finish and each of the four shades is white glass, 13 cm across. The glass is mouth-blown and finished piece by piece, so small air bubbles can appear in a shade and the wall thickness varies slightly. That is the mark of hand work rather than a fault — no two fittings are quite identical. Light and control Four E14 lampholders take bulbs of up to 40 W each. The white shades diffuse the output, so the fitting lights a table softly rather than throwing a hard glare. Fit dimmable bulbs and the level can be adjusted. Bulbs are not supplied.
