Corinne 3 Light Medium Pendant – Burnished Brass Elstead

Name: Corinne 3 Light Medium Pendant – Burnished Brass Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Corinne is a pendant in the form of an open orb made of flat metal bands, designed by Generation Lighting (Feiss) and distributed in Europe by Elstead Lighting. Inside the orb three candle lampholders stand on a central hub – the manufacturer points out that this fixing makes them appear to float. The whole fitting, including the chain and the hexagonal ceiling canopy, is finished in burnished brass. How big it is and how it hangs The orb is 43.2 cm in diameter and the fitting itself is 52.7 cm tall. A diameter of around 43 cm suits a table 80–90 cm wide, or works as the central light in a medium-sized room. It hangs from 152.4 cm of chain, and the overall drop from the ceiling can be set anywhere from 67.9 to 215.9 cm – above a table the bottom of the orb usually sits 70–80 cm above the top. The fitting weighs 3.5 kg, so it needs a secure fixing in the ceiling. It is Class I: the circuit must have a protective earth conductor. The manufacturer specifies it for interior use only. How much light it gives There are three E14 lampholders, each for a bulb of up to 60 W. No bulbs are included – three have to be bought separately. For this model the manufacturer recommends clear candle-shaped LED lamps, sold on their own, which bring out the candelabra character of the fitting. A colour temperature of 2700–3000 K reads as warm, slightly yellowish light. The bands of the orb are open, so the bulbs stay visible and light spreads in every direction, including onto the ceiling. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps – with those and a dimmer switch the brightness can be lowered, for example over dinner. What kind of interior it suits The candles on a central hub and the warm brass recall a classic chandelier, while the spherical cage of smooth bands gives it a simpler, architectural form. The manufacturer intends it for the dining room, above the table. The frame is steel. The Corinne family also includes a polished nickel version with crystals, as well as smaller and larger versions of the same orb.Näytä lisää
