An aluminium end cap for the Lumines SILEDA LED profile, in the silver version with a hole for the supply cable. Screwed on with two screws, universal for either end of the profile. The version with a hole is the supply end A profile is closed with two end caps and only one of them has to pass a cable. This item has the hole — it is meant for the end where the supply comes in. For the opposite end the solid variant is bought (code 12-0645-11 in the same silver). Ordering a set for one profile, take one with a hole and one without; ordering a run fed from both ends, take two with holes. The cap is **universal**, meaning there is no left and right version, which removes the commonest mistake when ordering profile accessories. Aluminium, not plastic Lumines makes SILEDA end caps in two materials: aluminium and plastic. This one is **aluminium**, in a silver matched to the anodized profile — close up it shows the same metallic sheen and the same texture, so the termination does not stand apart from the rest of the fitting. Aluminium caps are stiffer and take repeated removal better than their ABS counterparts; on fittings installed in public spaces, or wherever a profile gets opened for service, that is a real difference. Fixed with two screws The cap is not push-fitted but **screwed to the profile's end face with two screws**. That is less convenient during installation than a snap fit, but it will not work loose from vibration or from the profile's cyclic expansion, and it will not fall off when the fitting is cleaned. The screws enter the mounting channels formed into SILEDA, so nothing has to be drilled. A complete fitting on this profile consists of the profile, a cover, LED strip, two end caps and the mounting screws; the caps are a separate line item and are not supplied with the profile.
