Discovery Kit for STM32F100 Value Line MCUs The ST Microelectronics STM32VLDiscovery is a Discovery board for the STM32F100 microcontrollers (MCUs). It's a straight-forward and affordable way to learn about and develop the STM32 MCUs. The STM32VLDiscovery development board features a built-in ST-LINK debugger/programmer system. What is the STM32F100 MCU? STM32F100 microcontrollers form the foundation of the STM32 series. It is based on ARM Cortex-M3 and offers up to 24MHz. The STM32F100RBT6B is the onboard chip which comes in a 64-pin TFBGA package. Who is it designed for? Discovery STM32 development board is suitable for both beginners and experienced designers. Whether you are looking to start your first MCU based project or a complex embedded device, this board will work for you. What's on-board? MCU : STM32F100RBT6B Core : ARM Cortex-M Memory : 128KB Flash, 8KB RAM Debugger/Programmer : ST-LINK Power : USB 5V or 3.3V LEDs : 1 x green, 1 x blue Buttons : 1 x pushbutton Extension header for QFP64 I/Os What software does it use? Alongside the STM32VLDiscovery hardware, you will require software to write your coding etc. This software includes: - IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM - Keil MDK-ARM - GCC-based IDE (ARM, Atollic, TrueSTUDIO) What else do I need? You need a PC running Windows XP, Windows 7 or Window 8. You will also need a USB cable going from USB-A to mini-B.
