AURIS is a ceiling light kept as plain as possible: a white disc 33 cm across and just 7 cm deep, mounted directly to the ceiling. There is no detail here to draw the eye — and that is the point. This is a fitting for places where the light should be present and the lamp should not.Size is the only decisionAURIS is made in three sizes on the same pattern: S, M and L (items PLF-53749-S-CL, -M-CL and -L-CL). This is the M size — Ø33 cm at 18 W. Choose by room area rather than looks: 1260 lm is sensible general lighting for a room of roughly 8–12 m², a hallway or a kitchen.The lightThe LED module is integrated — there is no bulb to change, and at the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced. It draws 18 W and gives 1260 lm at 4000 K, neutral white: without the yellow cast of 3000 K, but also without the chill of daylight. It is a colour that serves work and everyday tasks well and evening mood lighting less so. Colour rendering is CRI 80+ and the beam angle 120° — the light spreads wide, with no hard pool beneath the fitting.What it does not doThe fitting is not dimmable: it runs at full output and will not work with a dimmer. There is no colour switch either — 4000 K is fixed at the factory.Build and installationThe construction is steel and plastic, all in white. Supply 220–240 V, mounted straight to the ceiling. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry rooms — although the manufacturer lists a bathroom among its uses, at IP20 it must be kept clear of the shower and bath zone. Seven centimetres of depth means it does not lower the room.
