MIKA is an up/down outdoor wall light in matt black: a cylindrical body 19 cm tall, 7.9 cm wide and projecting 6.8 cm, lighting upward and downward at once. A thin horizontal LED stripe also runs across the front. Three light sources, but only one is in the box This is the most important thing to understand before buying: The two GU10 sockets — up and down — are EMPTY. The manufacturer states "Bulbs included: No" outright. They provide all of this fitting's usable light, and the maximum total rating is 14 W, i.e. 7 W per lamp. The LED stripe on the front is built in and purely decorative — a contour light of roughly 20 lm, about what a night light gives. On its own it will not light an entrance or a step. In other words: without buying two GU10 bulbs you get a glowing line on a wall and nothing else. Budget for them alongside the fitting. What an up/down arrangement does on a façade Two opposing cones draw two bright triangles on the wall and leave a darker band at the height of the fitting itself. On textured render, clinker brick or stone, raking light brings out the grain. Practical uses: beside a front door — the lower cone lights the handle and the lock, the upper one sets the mood; along a façade or driveway at 2–3 m centres, as a rhythm instead of one strong floodlight; on a balcony or terrace where glare matters — the sources sit inside the body and are not visible at eye level. You choose the beam yourself. Because the fitting runs on replaceable GU10s, the bulb decides the angle (from a narrow 24° to a wide 120°), the colour and the brightness. The same fitting can give tight, sharp bands or soft patches — with no change of luminaire. Weather resistance and installation IP54 — protected against dust and against splashing water from any direction. The right level for a façade, terrace or balcony; not for pressure washing and not where water stands. Operating range −20 °C to +50 °C — stated outright, so winter operation is not guesswork. Protection class I — an earth conductor is required. On a refit of an older garden circuit that is a condition to check before buying. Supply 220–240 V. CE declaration of conformity.
