Otis 60 is a 60 cm mirror light with a 7.5 × 7.5 cm section, finished in chrome. The body is aluminium, the diffuser plastic. An IP44 rating allows bathroom installation, and protection class II means double insulation – no earth conductor is required. Moodmaker™: two levels from one switch Otis has neither a dimmer nor a remote, yet it has two modes – and that is its real idea. The first click of an ordinary wall switch gives the full 1650 lm, the light you want for shaving or make-up. The second click drops to a 35 lm night light – enough to find the bathroom at night without properly waking up. The fitting remembers the chosen mode after five on/off cycles, and a reset function clears that memory. Aiming the light The head tilts, the reflector rotates, and the throw depth is adjustable – so the light lands on the face at the mirror rather than on the ceiling or the tiles. The fitting mounts both vertically and horizontally, which matters with narrow mirrors: the same model serves as a bar above the mirror or a vertical strip beside it. A cabinet bracket is included. What the light is like 1650 lm from 17 W, warm 3000 K, colour rendering Ra 90. That last figure counts for more here than usual: at a mirror it decides whether skin tone and make-up colour look the way they actually are. The LED source is integrated and non-replaceable, rated life 25,000 hours, energy class F. Connection Otis can be wired with the supplied cable or mounted straight onto a wall outlet – which one depends on whether the wiring behind the mirror was prepared.
